The Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office VIII (PSA RSSO 8) brought its National ID and Civil Registry System (CRS) services directly to the residents of Abuyog, Leyte, during a Job Fair organized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Western Leyte Field Office held at the Abuyog Community Center (ACC) Evacuation Center in Brgy. Bunga.

Upon the invitation of DOLE Western Leyte, joint teams from PSA RSSO 8 and the PSA Leyte Provincial Statistical Office set up mobile outlets on-site, allowing local jobseekers and community members to access essential services without traveling to regional offices.
Through the National ID mobile registration desk, attendees received assistance with new registrations, updates, and general inquiries. Simultaneously, the CRS Mobile Outlet processed requests for official civil registry documents—including Birth, Marriage, and Death Certificates, as well as Certificates of No Marriage (CENOMAR)—providing jobseekers with immediate access to crucial employment pre-requisites.

The DOLE-led initiative aimed to bridge the gap between local jobseekers and employers from both government and private sectors. Integrating PSA services directly into the venue enabled applicants to complete key documentation requirements alongside submitting job applications.

PSA RSSO 8 extends its gratitude to DOLE Western Leyte and participating entities for making the multi-agency event possible, reiterating its commitment to making government services more accessible and convenient across Eastern Visayas. (PR)
