ORMOC CITY — Police arrested two wanted persons in separate operations in Ormoc City and Manila over charges involving acts of lasciviousness and lascivious conduct, authorities said.
First arrested was Michael Harane, alias “Inig,” 47, married, a farmer and resident of Purok 2, Barangay Gaas, Ormoc City.
Elements of Ormoc City Police Station 5 (OCPS5) arrested Harane at about 8:21 a.m. on Aug. 25, 2026, in Barangay Dolores, Ormoc City, based on a warrant for acts of lasciviousness under Article 336 of the Revised Penal Code.
The warrant was issued on July 23, 2026, by Judge Rene Romero Jr. of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities, 8th Judicial Region, Ormoc City, with a recommended bail of P10,000.
Police said Harane was informed of the reason for his arrest and his constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine in a language he understood. A body-worn camera and an alternative recording device were also used to document the operation.
He was brought to OCPS5 in Barangay Dolores for proper disposition.
Meanwhile, Ryan Reponte, 30, was arrested at about 9:46 p.m. on Aug. 22 in Barangay 341, Sta. Cruz, Manila, for Lascivious Conduct under Section 5(b) of Republic Act No. 7610, in relation to Section 31(c).
Reponte, who is currently residing in San Rafael Village, Balut, Tondo, Manila, was arrested by elements of Ormoc City Police Station 6 (OCPS6) based on a warrant issued by Judge Mario Quinit of the Regional Trial Court, 8th Judicial Region, Branch 12, Ormoc City, dated June 10, 2020.
The case involves four counts, with a fixed recommended bail of P200,000.
Reponte was initially taken to Sta. Cruz Police Station 3 in Manila for temporary detention before being turned over to OCPS6 for proper disposition.
The arrests were part of police efforts to locate and apprehend individuals with outstanding warrants of arrest.
