GOVERNMENT CENTER, PALO, Leyte- The anti-drug elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA-8) together with the Tacloban City Police-Station 1 and its special drug enforcement unit (SDEU) arrested a student during a buy-bust operation at Brgy. 62-B in Tacloban City on March 12, 2019 at around 9:15 pm.
In a report submitted to PDEA Director General Aaron N. Aquino, elements of PDEA RO8-TCO under Director Edgar T. Jubay together with TCPO PS1-SDEU, identified the suspect as Sam Arnold Delos Angeles, 19, single, student and resident of Brgy. 62-B.
Purchased and confiscated during the said operation were two pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu weighing more or less 0.14 grams with an estimated market value of P1,000.
The suspect will be facing charges for violation of section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs), Article II of RA 9165 and is now temporarily detained at Tacloban City Police Station lock-up facility. (PR)
