The Tacloban City District Engineering Office report of 20 percent completion rate.

TACLOBAN CITY– The construction of a new school building at St. Francis Integrated School in Tacloban City is currently underway, with 20% of the project already completed.

The project, which commenced on November 24, 2024, is funded under the General Appropriations Act 2023, with a total contract amount of P60,525,000. The construction is expected to be completed within a duration of 220 calendar days.

The new building will be four-storey structure housing 20 classrooms. This development is a significant step towards addressing the lack of nearby schools for students in the area, given the school’s distance from the commercial center of Tacloban City.

In a statement about the project, OIC District Engineer Rebecca G. Yuse said, “We are committed to providing quality education facilities for our students. This project not only represents a significant investment in our community but also a commitment to our children’s future. We are making steady progress and are excited to see the completion of this project.”
