TACLOBAN CITY– The chief of the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), Director General Ricardo De Leon, has called on police enforcers in the region to serve their country well.

De Leon was in the region last April 14 and was welcomed by police regional director, B/Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil.

“Your family must be solid. You are leaders in your own families. You should have the will to change the mindset of everybody. You should take the opportunity to be great public servants not thinking only for the salary but of what you can contribute to the community,” the NICA chief said in his message to the police force in the region.

De Leon also expressed his appreciation to the police regional director for implementing the Oplan Maharlika which he credited to help lessen the commission of crimes and the arrest of suspects.

The strategy, he added, also makes travel safe for those using the Maharlika Highway starting from Allen in Northern Samar up to Southern Leyte.
