ORMOC CITY-Christmas is most truly joyful and meaningful when we celebrate it by giving to those who are less fortunate.

Giving back to society is one of the customs practiced by the Leyte 4th District Engineering Office (DEO) as its employees did their share by contributing certain amounts from their own pockets to collect enough funds and buy supplies to be given away.

Continuing the tradition, the DEO brought joy to the Ormoc Holy Family Haven, Hayag Charitable Association – Hayag Receiving and Child Caring Home, Inc., and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) – Social Development for Children and Youth (SDCYY) on December 21, 2022.

District Engineer Arnaldo Bonifacio led the distribution of sacks of rice, food and kitchen needs, cleaning products, toiletries, vitamins and medicines, and other essentials to the children and elderly beneficiaries of the “Share-A-Joy” activity.

Through this program, the office hopes to inspire the spirit of giving and selflessness this holiday season, Bonifacio said.
