ORMOC CITY — Police arrested the top most wanted person in Javier, Leyte on Tuesday morning, June 17, following the service of a warrant for qualified sexual assault.

The suspect, identified as Antonio Tisado Sr., 50, a resident of Javier town, was apprehended at around 10 a.m. in Barangay Poblacion Zone I by personnel of the Javier Municipal Police Station.

Tisado was listed as the No. 1 most wanted person at the municipal level.

Authorities served a warrant of arrest issued on June 15, 2026 by Judge Dexter Aguilar of the Regional Trial Court Branch 10 in Abuyog, Leyte. The accused is facing a charge of qualified sexual assault under Article 266-B of the Revised Penal Code.

The court set bail at P200,000 for his temporary release.

Following his arrest, Tisado was brought to the Javier Municipal Police Station for documentation and processing before being turned over to the court for appropriate legal proceedings.
