TACLOBAN CITY — The Tingog Party List and the Office of Leyte 1st District Representative Ferdinand Martin Romualdez have prepositioned relief goods for immediate distribution to families affected by Super Typhoon ‘Uwan’ across Eastern Visayas.

The relief preparation was carried out on Saturday, November 8, 2025 — coinciding with the 12th anniversary of Super Typhoon ‘Yolanda’ (Haiyan) — with volunteers joining efforts to repack essential commodities.

The prepositioned assistance includes 400 sacks of 25-kilogram rice; 80 boxes of coffee; 80 boxes of instant noodles; 80 boxes of canned goods; 50 boxes of Energen cereal drink; and 50 boxes of biscuits.

These goods are ready for deployment to areas projected to be directly hit by the typhoon in Eastern Visayas and nearby provinces.

“I am calling on everyone to stay alert and work together to ensure zero casualties. Let us remain prepared, coordinate with authorities and local government units, and rely on official advisories for timely and accurate information,” said Rep. Romualdez, who also serves as Tingog Party List’s lead convenor.

Tingog and Congressman Romualdez reiterated their commitment to assist affected families and urged the public to remain vigilant, heed government warnings, and prioritize safety as Uwan approaches.
