TACLOBAN CITY — The Tacloban City Public Employment Service Office (TCPESO) will begin online registration for the 2026 Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) on March 6, offering 200 temporary work opportunities for qualified students.
Registration will start at exactly 9:00 a.m. through TCPESO’s official Facebook page, and slots will be filled on a strict “first-come, first-served” basis, the office said.
The SPES initiative provides economically disadvantaged but deserving students with temporary employment, allowing them to earn income while gaining practical work experience.
Applicants must be Tacloban City residents aged 15 to 30, currently enrolled in high school, senior high school, or college, and have no failing grades in their most recent term. Only one applicant per household will be accepted, and the combined annual net income of parents must not exceed P191,088.00.
TCPESO also requires applicants to have basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. Students who are already scholars, Barangay SK officials, or beneficiaries of the 4Ps, UCT, or MCCT programs are ineligible.
The office encouraged prospective applicants to prepare their digital documents ahead of time to ensure a smooth submission once registration opens.
