TACLOBAN CITY — Samar province has emerged as the country’s top-performing province in year-on-year growth in local source revenues (LSR) for Fiscal Year 2024, according to the Department of Finance’s Bureau of Local Government Finance.
Governor Sharee Ann Tan said the recognition reflects the collective effort of Samarnons, noting, “This accomplishment reflects the hard work of every Samarnon who believed we could build a stronger province together.”
The award underscores Samar’s strengthened revenue generation and sound fiscal management—allowing the provincial government more capacity to fund development programs and public services.
