TACLOBAN CITY — Residents of Biliran availed themselves of National ID registration and civil registry services as the Philippine Statistics Authority(PSA)-8 during the 34th founding anniversary of the province from May 4 to 5.

As part of its participation, PSA set up service desks offering National ID (PhilSys) and Civil Registration System (CRS) services, allowing residents to access essential documents without leaving the province.

Biliran Provincial Office Chief Statistical Specialist Renavil Cueva led the PSA team, together with RSSO VIII personnel, in accommodating clients early in the day to ensure smooth and immediate service delivery.

A key feature of PSA’s booth was the continued rollout of National ID services, including registration for unregistered individuals and issuance of printed National ID formats for those already enrolled.

Assistance was also provided for retrieving Transaction Reference Numbers (TRN), which are used to track application status, as well as guidance on accessing the Digital National ID, a secure electronic proof of identity.

The PSA team also assisted residents requesting replacement of lost or damaged IDs and provided information on the requirements and procedures for such requests.

Meanwhile, the Civil Registration System (CRS) Mobile Outlet facilitated on-site issuance of civil registry documents printed on security paper, including birth, marriage, and death certificates, allowing residents to secure documents more conveniently.

PSA officials said the integration of these services into provincial celebrations reflects the agency’s continued effort to bring government services closer to communities and promote accessible, efficient, and citizen-centered public service.
