SANTA RITA, Samar– The newly-constructed Juanito E. Jorda, Jr. Development and Empowerment Center (JEJJDEC) located at the RENAGMEC compound in Brgy. San Juan, this town, was inaugurated on Wednesday (Sept. 27).

The event was graced by the NEA Administrator Antonio Mariano C. Almeda together with his deputy administrators, department/division managers and staff, Joselito P. Yap (PHILRECA president), GM Allan L. Laniba (NAGMEC president), Mayor Jade Kie R. Tiu together with San Juan chairman Concepcion E. Hineman, FRECOR 8 general managers led by GM Joey Talon (FRECOR-8 president) and general manager Jose Michael Edwin Amancio (RENAGMEC president), director 8 officers and members, and personnel & staff from the 11 electric cooperatives in the region.

Donald Velasco, the executive director/general manager of FRECOR 8 and RENAGMEC together with his staff led the hosting of the event.

The JEJJEC is a tribute to a visionary leader named after the late general manager Juanito E. Jorda, Jr., of Leyeco V and one of the founders/incorporators of FRECOR 8 and the first president of RENAGMEC, in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to the rural electrification movement in the region.
