NEW CLASSROOOM BUILDING. The Leyte Second District Engineering Office reported the completion of the construction of a two-classroom building at the Minuswang Elementary School in Barugo, Leyte. The project was built at a cost of P5.9 million.(L2DEO)

TACLOBAN CITY– Minuswang Elementary School in Barugo, Leyte now has an improved learning space following the completion of a new two-classroom building constructed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Leyte 2nd District Engineering Office in partnership with the Department of Education.

The 7-by-18-meter, one-story structure includes reinforced concrete gutters, a handwashing area, a PWD-accessible ramp with handrails, window grills, a parapet wall, and individual toilets for each classroom.

School head Dennis Clores welcomed the project, saying the facility will significantly ease classroom congestion and improve the overall learning environment for pupils who previously had to use makeshift rooms due to space limitations.

Funded through the DPWH CY 2025 General Appropriations Act under the Basic Education Facilities Fund, the project has a total allocation of P5.97 million and was implemented by Basesolida Construction & Supply.
