Aux Capt Ma Margarita C Junia PCGA took office as the Director Auxiliary District (DAD) of Eastern Visayas. New Directors of Squadron (DAS) also assumed their roles, including: Aux Capt Eugene Jay V Soniedo PCGA – 1101st Director Auxiliary Squadron (DAS); Aux Lt Rafael Benjamin B Omega III PCGA – 1105th DAS; Aux Capt Rene P Barantes PCGA – 1108th DAS ; Aux Capt Niceto L Limpia PCGA – 1109th DAS Capt Jonathan C Marfil PCG, Commander of Coast Guard District Eastern Visayas (CGDEV) presided the ceremony.

TACLOBAN CITY – The Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary–Eastern Visayas (PCGA-EV) welcomed a new set of leaders during an Assumption of Command Ceremony held on July 9, 2025, in Ormoc City.

Aux Capt. Ma. Margarita Junia, PCGA, formally took over as the new Director Auxiliary District (DAD) of Eastern Visayas.

Also assuming leadership roles as Directors of Auxiliary Squadrons (DAS) were Aux Capt. Eugene Jay V. Soniedo – 1101st DAS; Aux Lt. Rafael Benjamin B. Omega III – 1105th DAS; Aux Capt. Rene P. Barantes – 1108th DAS; and Aux Capt. Niceto L. Limpia – 1109th DAS.

The ceremony was presided over by Capt. Jonathan C. Marfil, PCG, commander of the Coast Guard District Eastern Visayas (CGDEV), who pledged continued support for PCGA’s initiatives on maritime safety, community service, and disaster response.

The event reaffirmed PCGA-EV’s commitment to volunteerism and its vital role in supporting the Philippine Coast Guard across the region.
