TACLOBAN CITY- A fun run marathon is slated to be held in the city on November initiated by the Philippine Eagles Club.
The activity, dubbed as ‘Sirang Tacloban,’ was launched last August 30 at the Robinsons main activity area graced by Tacloban City Mayor Cristina Romualdez.
The fun run marathon will include 9 races which are 42km run, 21km, 6km, 3km, and 1km run which will also include marathons for persons with disabilities, children, and senior citizens.
The event is scheduled on November 12, among the activities included as the nation is to mark the fourth year anniversary on the onslaught of super typhoon ‘Yolanda’ that pummeled Eastern Visayas.
Registration per race will range from P100-P1,000 depending on the event. The club targets about 10,000 participants during the day of the fun run. (MARWAH JAILANI/LNU Student Intern)
