Brgy. Burabud, Laoang, Northern Samar – In compliance with Presidential Proclamation No. 470, s. 2003, entitled “Declaring the Third Saturday of September of each year as the International Coastal Clean-up (ICC) Day in observance of the Global Coastal Clean-up Celebrations” in partnership with the concerned Local Government Units (LGUs), the Department of Public Works and Highways Northern Samar Second District Engineering Office (DPWH NSSDEO) employees joined the nation in observing the ICC Day on September 19, 2026.
This activity contributes to raising environmental awareness as part of the continuing efforts to promote environmental consciousness, address marine litter and plastic pollution, support climate change mitigation and adaption measures, and protect the country’s coastal and marine resources by promoting proper solid waste management and reducing marine litter and debris.
