NSSDEO, Brgy. Burabud, Laoang, N. Samar– The barangay officials of Barangay 6 Poblacion, Pambujan, this province, have moved from their previous barangay hall located along the coastal line to the newly completed two-storey multi-purpose building.

This P5-million multi-purpose building was funded by Tingog party-list and was implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways – Northern Samar Second District Engineering Office (DPWH-NSSDEO) headed by District Engineer Charlito S. Carlobos and Assistant District Engineer Atty. Arthur Eric L. Sabong.

The goal of this project is to partially construct the 80-square-meter building, which includes earthworks, reinforced concrete works, finishing works, plumbing and electrical works, metal painting for the balcony and stair railings, and tile works for sinks and toilets carried out by ANLE CONSTRUCTION under Contract ID 23II0027.

DPWH-NSSDEO, Chief of Construction Section-Engr. Gil D. Herrera, Jr., assigned Project Engr. Eliseo B. Allado, Jr., to lead the supervision and monitoring to ensure that the construction method applied is in adherence to the department’s standard to provide safe, reliable, and resilient infrastructure.

The new multi-purpose structure has made it easier for barangay authorities to provide public service since it gives them enough space to serve their constituents.

Additionally, since this structure is a safe haven for locals seeking assistance from the local administration, officials may now completely carry out their administrative duties in the barangay hall.
