CATARMAN, N. Samar– Engineers from the Department of Public Works and Highways-Planning Service from the Central Office paid a courtesy visit to District Engineer Alvin A. Ignacio on February 28, 2024.

The visit was in accordance with the memorandum dated January 23, 2024, from Engr. Maximo Ewald Montaña II, Division Chief, Project Preparation Division – Planning Service, requesting assistance for the conduct of a Reconnaissance Survey, particularly on the Environmental and Social Aspects of the Proposed Projects for Feasibility Study – Fiscal Year 2025.

The Engineers were directed to gather technical and socio-economic data needed for the assessment/evaluation of proposed projects under the 2025 budget.

Among the proposed projects to be assessed within the district are the Lope De Vega-Silvino Lobos Road, San Isidro-Lope De Vega Road, Polangi-Gebulwangan-Quezon-Trangue-Mabini Road, San Jose (Mandugang)-San-Isidro-Lope De Vega Road, and San Isidro-Victoria-Allen-Lavezares-Rosario-San Jose Circumferential Road.

District Engineer Alvin A. Ignacio emphasized the significance of the reconnaissance survey, stating, “Reconnaissance survey is a critical initial step in the project development process, laying the groundwork for successful and sustainable infrastructure projects.”

This initiative signifies a step forward in ensuring that proposed projects are meticulously planned and executed for the benefit of the people.
