TACLOBAN CITY — Regional Director Arnel Agabe of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-8 urged personnel to evaluate their performance and implement strategic improvements to enhance service delivery across Eastern Visayas.
Agabe delivered the message during the DILG-8 Monday Convocation on January 19, 2026, at the DILG-8 Training Center in Tacloban City, emphasizing the importance of honest self-assessment and collective review to identify both successes and areas needing improvement.
He instructed program focal persons to conduct comprehensive reviews of ongoing initiatives, ensuring that interventions are strategic, results-oriented, and responsive to the needs of local government units (LGUs) and communities.
During the convocation, division chiefs and directors presented updates on accomplishments, upcoming programs, and key performance targets for 2026.
The event highlighted DILG-8’s commitment to sustaining gains, accelerating reforms, and enhancing coordination, reaffirming the department’s resolve to provide efficient, people-centered services and advance good governance and inclusive development in the region.
