TACLOBAN CITY – Newly installed Police Regional Office-8 Director PB/Gen Jason Capoy has set his priorities for Eastern Visayas, focusing on swift crime response, tighter intelligence coordination, and enhanced police training.
Capoy said quick action and strict adherence to legal principles are crucial in addressing crimes. He also vowed to strengthen ties with barangay leaders and maintain daily tactical and firearms training for personnel.
Given the region’s role as a transshipment hub for firearms and drugs, Capoy emphasized improving intelligence sharing with nearby regions. He also aims to engage communities and inspire youth, noting his background as a licensed teacher.
